Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise sterile processing operations, including decontamination, instrument preparation, sterilization, and distribution of sterilized items.
• Manage and mentor staff, assign tasks, and provide coaching and performance feedback.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, instrument tracking, load validation, and adherence to infection-control standards.
• Maintain instrument inventory and collaborate with OR and supply chain teams to ensure instrument availability and appropriate par levels.
• Provide on-call availability by phone for emergencies as needed and support scheduling coordination as required.
• Support onboarding, training, and continuous process improvement initiatives within the department.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of sterile processing experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role
• CRCST certification required
• Ability to work in a hospital environment with a Monday–Friday schedule; shift may vary by need
• Eligible for travel assignment within the 200-mile radius policy or willing to relocate to Helena, MT
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; demonstrated ability to supervise and develop staff
