Title Registered Dental Hygienist Job Description Perform thorough dental cleanings, including prophylaxis and periodontal maintenance. Conduct comprehensive oral health assessments, including periodontal charting and oral cancer screenings. Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and the importance of preventative care. Administer fluoride treatments and apply dental sealants as needed. Capture high-quality digital radiographs for diagnostic purposes. Collaborate with the Dentist to develop and explain personalized treatment plans. Maintain strict sterilization protocols and clinical record accuracy. Salary Range part-time $60 - $68 per hour Responsibilities: - Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth - Conduct oral health assessments and screenings - Take all dental x-rays (FMX and check-up) - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized oral care instructions - Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed - Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories - Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and sterile environment Requirements: - Valid Dental Hygienist license in California - Proficiency in using Dentrix - Ability to take and interpret dental x-rays - Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients on oral health practices - Experience working with patients of all ages, including pediatrics and special needs - Ability to work independently with good time management skills We are looking for an RDH to join our growing practice. We are a general dental family practice, with 1 dentist. Our office is open Tuesday-Friday, 9 am-6 pm. Starting one day a week, with opportunities to add more days as we grow. Shift & Schedule Monday – Friday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Saturday & Sunday: Closed Requirements Dentrix Licensed dental hygienist Valid State License to practice as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH). Degree from an accredited Dental Hygiene program. Current CPR/BLS certification. Excellent communication skills and a warm, patient-focused chairside manner. Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced, team-oriented clinical setting. Preferences Previous experience in a high-volume family dentistry practice. Proficiency with modern dental practice management software. Local Anesthesia certification.
