Our firm is hiring an associate attorney who will support us by conducting legal research, drafting documents, maintaining client files, and assisting with legal counsel.

$60,000 - $100,000 yearly

Responsibilities:

• Resolve cases efficiently by using communicating effectively with and working alongside senior attorneys and paralegals
• Maintain client files in an organized fashion to ensure up-to-date information is handy for other attorneys, paralegals and support staff
• Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings
• Review client issues on legal matters, analyze available options, and diligently work to determine the best course of action

• Must be licensed to practice in the State of Georgia by October of 2026 - awaiting bar results is fine.

• No prior legal experience required for newly barred attorneys. We will train you if you love court, litigation, and family law.

• Honest, loyal, ethical, and trustworthy.

• Appreciate clients' experience and have a genuine desire to help them with their family law matters.

• Prior case management or project management experience working with deadlines is helpful.

• Excellent old-fashioned work ethic. No 9-5 mindsets. We value work-life balance, but do not want employees with a clock-out-at-5:00 p.m. mindset. Arrive on time, work efficiently, and ensure deadlines are met and cases are managed in a proactive way to reduce stress on staff and clients.

• Team player who works with our high-functioning team. We have a superior team and do not want any mess spreaders to disrupt this. We have direct communication and not backstabbing. We are professionals, but not stuck in the mud. We are accountable and own it when we make a mistake, learn from it, and move on. We understand that we are engaged in the practice of law. We are seeking an attorney who can enhance and elevate our team.

• Excellent writing, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills required.

• Thick skin required. This is family law. You must be resilient and not easily offended. You will face spirited judges, aggressive and attacking opposing attorneys, and demanding clients who expect a lot, as they should, because they are paying a lot for your services and this is their life and not just a case.

Qualifications:

• Solid communication skills and problem-solving skills required in order to work with clients, staff members and senior attorneys
• Ability to work with senior attorneys to best serve client needs and grow our client base
• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree required from an accredited law school

• Love and passion for learning.

• Drive and hard work. Willing to commit to excellence.

• Desire to litigate cases and be in the courtroom at least 3 days a week.
