Key Responsibilities of the RN - Neuro Operating Room

• Provide specialized nursing care for patients undergoing neurological surgical procedures
• Prepare operating rooms, surgical instruments, and specialized neuro equipment
• Assist neurosurgeons and surgical teams during complex procedures
• Monitor patient condition and maintain a sterile surgical environment
• Administer medications and ensure accurate patient documentation
• Follow infection prevention and patient safety protocols
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal surgical outcomes

Requirements of the RN - Neuro Operating Room

• Active RN license in Kansas (or compact state license if applicable)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• CNOR certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience, with strong neuro OR experience required
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity surgical environment
