Description:
Seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical Surgical unit.
This position requires working night shifts.
The length of the contract is 13 weeks.
The unit consists of a 34-bed medical/surgical area with telemetry.
Nurse-to-patient ratios are typically 1:5-7.
Experience with Cerner EMR is preferred.
Candidates should be proficient in BiPAP/CPAP management and administration of blood products.
Skills in central line care/management and chest tube management are essential.
Candidates must have experience interpreting arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias.
Responsibilities include isolation precautions, oxygen administration, and PCA management.
Pre and post cardiac cath and hemodialysis management knowledge is required.
Successful candidates will be responsible for wound care and managing tracheostomy care.
The role will involve collaboration with interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, physical therapy, and respiratory services.
Applicants must have a permanent address located within 100 miles of the facility, although cases will be considered for those within 75-100 miles.
Candidates should submit their RN license verification and a minimum of 2 manager or charge references within the past 2 years.
Certifications must be valid and obtained from the American Heart Association where applicable.
Insufficient documentation may result in a delay in processing.
Candidates must have no previous probationary actions on their license.
This position is not open to current employees of specific facilities for a period of 2 years after their last date worked.
The unit maintains a strong presence of clinical leadership to facilitate daily operations and patient care.
Daily census is approximately 30 patients.
