Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as an onsite Occupational Therapist supporting elementary students for a maternity leave coverage position. From the end of August through early April, you’ll work in a dynamic, collaborative school environment dedicated to student growth and well-being. This is a full-time role, Monday through Friday, offering consistent hours throughout the academic year.
What you'll bring:
- Current Occupational Therapist licensure in Minnesota
- Prior experience working in a school or pediatric setting
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Adaptability and enthusiasm for working with young learners
Key responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to elementary school students per individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students’ needs
- Develop and implement therapy interventions that foster skill development and independence
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate records and progress notes in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Serve as a resource to instructional staff to support student participation and performance
