Role Description The Packaging Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Carlstadt, NJ, responsible for overseeing daily packaging operations on the production floor. This role coordinates packaging schedules, assigns tasks, and monitors line performance to meet production targets while maintaining food safety and quality standards. The Packaging Supervisor will lead and support packaging team members, provide on-the-job training, and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and regulatory requirements. Daily responsibilities include inspecting packaged products for accuracy and quality, resolving minor equipment and workflow issues, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and completing production and quality documentation. The role works closely with production, quality, and warehouse teams to optimize efficiency, reduce waste, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Strong supervisory and leadership skills, including team coordination, performance feedback, and shift oversight.
• Experience with quality control and quality assurance processes within a food, beverage, or similar manufacturing environment.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with team members, cross-functional partners, and management.
• Ability to train and coach employees on packaging procedures, safety practices, and quality standards.
• Familiarity with food safety regulations (e.g., GMPs, HACCP) and safe equipment operation.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or manufacturing-related education is a plus.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, physically active production environment, including standing for extended periods and handling moderate lifting as needed.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and commitment to continuous improvement and workplace safety.
