Job Description Job Description Swiss Machinist - 2nd Shift Are you an experienced Swiss Machinist looking for a stable, long-term opportunity with a growing precision manufacturing company? We are seeking a skilled professional to set up and operate multi-axis Swiss turning machines in a clean, organized, and employee-focused environment. Position Overview The Swiss Machinist will be responsible for setting up, operating, and troubleshooting multi-axis Swiss turning centers used to manufacture high-precision, complex components. This role requires strong setup experience and the ability to make program edits as needed to ensure quality and efficiency. Responsibilities * Set up and operate multi-axis (2-5 axis) Swiss turning machines * Work with Star, Tsugami and/or Citizen Swiss turning centers * Set up and troubleshoot bar feeders and machining processes * Edit programs and make adjustments using G & M code * Monitor production to ensure quality, efficiency, and accuracy * Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings * Perform inspections using common shop measuring equipment and tooling * Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary corrections * Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area Qualifications * 5+ years of experience setting up and operating Swiss style Lathe turning machines * Strong Swiss setup experience is required (Star, Citizen or Tsugami experience is a plus but not required) * Ability to independently troubleshoot machining and production issues * Understanding of G & M code programming and program editing * Proficient with precision inspection equipment, gauges, and measuring tools * Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings * Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Why Join This Company? * Stable, long-term employer with an excellent reputation * Strong employee retention—many team members have built long careers here * Clean, modern, and well-organized manufacturing facility * Consistent overtime opportunities available * Strong backlog of contracts and steady work for years to come * Smaller company environment where employees are valued * Competitive benefits package * Excellent training, mentoring, and growth opportunities If you're a skilled Swiss Machinist looking for a company that offers stability, growth, and a positive work environment, we'd love to hear from you.
