Mid-Valley Dental Care is seeking a dedicated Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to assist our dentists in delivering top-quality patient care. In this critical role, you’ll be hands-on in the treatment room, supporting both patients and doctors through a variety of clinical, administrative, and laboratory duties. Employment Type Full-time Requirements Registered dental assistant / Certified dental assistant Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license in California (required) Knowledge of dental terminology, sterilization, and OSHA/HIPAA compliance Excellent communication and organizational skills Caring, professional, and team-oriented personality Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Job Description Assist the dentist during clinical treatment of patients, handing instruments and materials as needed Keep patients’ mouths dry and clear using suction or other devices Demonstrate knowledge of dental terminology and comply with dental practice policies and HIPAA Greet patients at sign-in, monitor arrival times, and escort them to treatment rooms Help patients feel comfortable and attended to at all times Obtain and review health histories per office protocol Chart patient visits, record dates, services rendered, and any charges Set up treatment rooms and select necessary instruments, equipment, and materials Anticipate and assist the dentist’s needs during procedures Mix dental materials and perform expanded functions as allowed by law/directed by the dentist Ensure all patient questions are answered thoroughly before they leave Escort patients from treatment rooms and record proper treatment notes in charts Give patient instructions and demonstrations as needed Monitor patient flow and keep dental units stocked and clean Oversee treatment room cleanliness, disinfect according to OSHA, and sterilize instruments/handpieces Keep trays, instruments, and treatment room drawers organized Promptly send out/monitor dental lab cases and implement preventative maintenance for equipment Maintain emergency kits and gas tanks; follow lab procedures per office protocol Support other office areas as needed (answering phones, unpacking supplies, recall, etc.) Be an active participant in team meetings and promote a collaborative team environment Benefits 401(k) Holiday pay Paid Time Off (PTO) Jobley Bonus: $90 (awarded to candidates hired through Jobley) Shift & Schedule Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and the 2nd Saturday of each month About the Practice Name: Mid-Valley Dental Care - Northridge Location: 19331 Business Center Drive Suite 101, Northridge, CA 91324
