Cable Assembly Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble medical cable assemblies and wire harnesses according to detailed work instructions, blueprints, and specifications.
• Perform cable preparation tasks including wire cutting, stripping, crimping, terminating, and soldering.
• Utilize hand tools, assembly fixtures, and production equipment to manufacture quality products.
• Rotate between multiple workstations to support batch production and team efficiency.
• Read and interpret assembly drawings, build sheets, and technical documentation.
• Complete production records and access work instructions through computer-based systems.
• Inspect products throughout the assembly process to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment.
• Follow company procedures and regulatory requirements for medical device manufacturing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in cable assembly, wire harness assembly, electronics assembly, medical device assembly, or related manufacturing environments.
• Hands-on experience with wire stripping, crimping, soldering, and small-part assembly.
• Ability to read and follow blueprints, diagrams, and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Comfortable working with hand tools and navigating computer systems.
• Ability to learn new processes and work across multiple production areas.
• IPC-610 or IPC-620 certification is a plus but not required.
• Previous experience in medical manufacturing, electronics, or precision assembly is highly preferred.

Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, MN.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
