Clinical Laboratory Scientist II

Clinical Laboratory Scientist II performs high-complexity laboratory testing on patient specimens, manages quality control procedures, and troubleshoots analytical assays. The role includes equipment maintenance, staff training, and collaboration on assay development and validation projects at a diagnostic laboratory.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-complexity laboratory tests and analyses according to standard operating procedures
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment including sequencers and automated systems
- Review, interpret, and report patient results in the laboratory information management system
- Train existing and new laboratory personnel on procedures and protocols
- Document quality control procedures and corrective actions for deviations from specifications
Requirements
- Clinical Laboratory Scientist certification or licensure
- Experience with high-complexity laboratory testing and quality assurance procedures
- Proficiency troubleshooting laboratory equipment and assay problems
- Knowledge of laboratory information management systems (LIMS)
- Strong attention to detail and meticulous record-keeping skills
- Ability to train personnel and lead laboratory projects
