Director of Admission

Manage day-to-day admissions operations for all Emory Law School programs Lead administration of financial aid and scholarships Lead the admissions team in enrolling JD, LLM, MLS, and SJD cohorts Create and execute recruitment and admissions initiatives with senior law school administrators Oversee admissions and financial aid operations and ensure regulatory and policy compliance Develop and implement financial aid practices supporting enrollment goals Manage the student admissions process to support student success Produce regular reports on enrollment progress and operational, statistical, and narrative data Monitor financial aid resources for new and current students Cultivate relationships with internal and external university stakeholders Produce strategic plans and budgets linking expenditures with outcomes Analyze data to shape strategic enrollment strategies Assess admissions and financial aid effectiveness and formulate evolving plans Engage students and alumni and maintain communications across academic areas Review application files and conduct admissions interviews Develop and supervise in-person and virtual admissions events Collaborate on marketing materials and targeted communications, including electronic communications and social media Manage admissions correspondence, including decision and scholarship letters Identify and develop local, national, and international recruitment markets Oversee international outreach and develop partnerships and applicant pipelines Develop and manage domestic and international recruitment travel Requirements A master's or JD degree Three years of experience in admissions, financial aid, or a related field at a selective institution of higher education Ability to travel domestically and internationally, with heavier travel expected during the fall recruitment period Effective writing and public speaking skills Preferred: JD degree Additional foreign language skills are a plus At least one of the following preferred experience areas: three or more years managing financial aid programs, three or more years managing LLM or other legal graduate school admissions, or three or more years managing admissions interview programs Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in managing admissions operations and financial aid processes within higher education, with a strong focus on compliance, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement.
