Banner Health is actively seeking a dedicated Physician in Medical Oncology to join our team as part of the renowned Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center in the Phoenix-Metro area, serving the Arizona City and Pinal County region. This position offers an annual salary of $121,661. In this role, you will become part of the Division of Cancer Medicine, joining a national leader in multidisciplinary cancer care, education, and discovery at a thriving, academically based campus. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of specialists to deliver high-quality, comprehensive cancer care to patients, contributing to our standing as one of the top 10 healthcare systems nationwide. Key responsibilities and professional expectations for this role typically include: Providing expert clinical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment planning for patients with cancer and related blood disorders, with a specific focus on solid tumors. Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams, including surgical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists, and support staff, to coordinate comprehensive patient care plans. Participating in tumor boards, clinical case reviews, and ongoing medical education initiatives within our academic-based campus. Communicating effectively with patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, prognosis, and compassionate end-of-life care when appropriate. Maintaining accurate and timely electronic health records for all patient encounters in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards. Engaging in clinical research, quality improvement initiatives, and educational activities aligned with the mission of Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center. Candidates must hold a valid medical degree (MD or DO), appropriate board certification or eligibility in Medical Oncology, and the necessary state medical licensure to practice in Arizona.
