Technical Designer 2

Description: 

ENG- Performs design, drafting, and configuration management tasks associated with engineering data for the Minuteman program. Creates and revises engineering drawings, develops 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD) models, and supports configuration management activities. Coordinates workload and priorities with program managers and engineering leads.

#Education & Job Requirements

*Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
*1+ years of experience in related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
*Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
*Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals
*Experience with Computer-Aided Design tools including AutoCAD, CATIA, and NX
*Experience with Microsoft Office tools including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
*Ability to read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bill of materials, and other written instructions or procedures
*Knowledge of assembly and production processes, manufacturing capabilities, and data required for defining delivery configurations including design definition, program directives, engineering drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics, functional tests, and supplier data
*Assembly Process
*Ability to read engineering drawings
*Bill of Materials (BOM)
*Blueprints
*Microsoft Office Suite

#Preferred Skills

*Previous experience in Design Engineering
*Experience effectively communicating and collaborating on multi-discipline teams
*Experience identifying required material types for parts and components
*Knowledge of responsibilities and tasks performed by various Engineering departments and disciplines, including design and test

*Design, develop, and maintain engineering drawings
*Prepare design layouts and modify existing designs
*Investigate and resolve moderately complex manufacturing process or engineering-related issues
*Verify accuracy of engineering data produced by others
*Revise and maintain standard operating procedures for technical design
*Create 3D models of existing equipment
