Medical Laboratory Scientist IOur client, a Medical Research company, is looking for a Medical Laboratory Scientist I for their Clifton NJ location. Responsibilities include:Following the laboratory's procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting and maintaining records of patient test results.Maintaining records that demonstrate that proficiency testing samples are tested in the same manner as patient specimens.Analyzing specimens using approved testing procedures.Reviewing and releasing test results.Following CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines as described in their respective guidelines.Following the laboratory's established policies and procedures whenever test systems are not within the laboratory's established acceptable levels of performance.Identifying problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results, correcting the problems encountered or immediately notifying the senior technologist or supervisor.Requirements include:Bachelor's degree required, degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry strongly preferred.Transcripts will be requested for review throughout the consideration process.1 year clinical experience (high complexity testing) preferred.Experience with LC-MS or ICP-MS strongly preferred.The normal performance of duties may require lifting and carrying objects: Objects 1 to 10 pounds are lifted and carried frequently; objects 11 to 25 pounds are lifted and carried occasionally; objects 36 to 50 pounds are seldom lifted or carried and objects over 50 pounds are not to be lifted or carried without assistance.Ability to stand and work at the bench for long periods of time.Frequent walking and/or standing.Why should you apply?Health benefitsReferral programExcellent growth and advancement opportunities
