Job Overview
This operation is to be performed keeping safety as a primary objective and following established GMP, Safety and Classic Packaging procedures and policies. We are a growing manufacturer of high-quality flexible packaging. As a result of our continued growth, we need a technician with experience in installation, maintenance, and repair of food safe industrial equipment. Knowledge of electrical troubleshooting, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment is essential.

Duties
Includes, but not limited to the following:

• Diagnoses, repairs, and overhauls the electrical components of critical production equipment.
• Installing and configuring new or replacement electrical motors, sensors, and controls
• Quickly responding to and resolving electrical failures or breakdowns on the production floor
• Services and troubleshoots programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and other automation and control devices
• Troubleshoot variable frequency, DC motor drive systems, servos, and steppers.
• Use common electrical diagnostic equipment.
• Troubleshoot to determine root cause of equipment failure and perform corrective maintenance accordingly.
• Effectively communicate with peers and management.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Comply with all safety requirements, including wearing PPE.
• Perform any other job duties as assigned by supervisor.

Required Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty accurately and in time to meet the company’s target deadlines. The requirements listed are representative of the minimum knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Knowledge of electrical devices and their use in machines.
• Advanced trouble shooting skills with the ability to repair complex problems.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
• Above average analytical, decision making, problem solving and research skills.
• Advanced knowledge of electronic test equipment
• Familiar with NFPA 70 National Electric Code. 

Work Schedule :
Monday – Friday 7:00am to 3:00pm

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $25.00 - $35.00 an hour based on experience
