You could join our Global Supply Planning team to develop and implement our global supply strategy, or work with our Procurement Centre of Excellence team to negotiate and manage our supplier relationships.Our Manufacturing Excellence team help us improve the efficiency, quality and safety of our manufacturing operations, and our Logistics Excellence team develop new and innovative ways to distribute our products to customers.About the roleReporting to the Department Manager, the Electrical and controls Engineer is responsible for all aspects of electrical, automation and control systems for all the equipment in the factory, in order to prevent equipment downtime and to increase productivity, safety and quality.This role is not currently sponsoring visas or considering international movement at this time!Your responsibilitiesProvide electrical, controls, and automation engineering support to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient production operations.Troubleshoot and optimize manufacturing equipment and control systems, including PLC programming changes, preventative maintenance support, and root cause problem-solving to minimize downtime.Lead and support capital and continuous improvement projects, from planning and execution through implementation of new equipment, processes, and technologies.Partner with production and maintenance teams to improve asset performance, develop operational strategies, and drive productivity and reliability improvements.Maintain technical documentation and engineering standards, including electrical schematics, equipment specifications, operating procedures, and spare parts inventory management.The experience we're looking forBachelor’s degree in Engineering with 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment; experience with high-speed packaging equipment preferred.Strong electrical controls and automation knowledge, including process controls, motor controls, instrumentation, industrial networking, and Allen-Bradley PLC/FactoryTalk platforms.Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving expertise, with the ability to diagnose complex equipment issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.Strong analytical, critical thinking, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing systems, including the interaction of equipment, materials, processes, environment, and people to optimize operational performance.What we offerWith inclusion at the heart of everything we do, working alongside our four global Employee Resource Groups, we support our people at every step of their career journey, helping them to succeed in their own individual way.We invest in the wellbeing of our people through parental benefits, an Employee Assistance Program to promote mental health, and life insurance for all employees globally.
