Here, you will make an impact by:Partnering with/providing oversight to division manufacturing sites to drive Operational Quality Excellence and continuous improvement: Working to identify, address sources of risk and variability, standardize work and error proof operations, and enhance customer satisfactionQuality support for New Product Introductionsand Change Management Requests for source of supply and/or manufacturing operational changes to ensure robust product performance, test method implementation, product and process qualifications, design reviews, risk mitigation, and control plansLeading and providing support to cross functional teams on the resolution of quality issues including product recalls, complaints, nonconforming materials,etc. while monitoring and addressing root causesProviding support for the division’s Quality Management Systems, including ownership of corrective and preventive actions and driving Supplier / Outsource Manufacturing Quality control and improvementPartnering with the division laboratory regarding the measurement system analysis (MSA) of Test Methods for R&D and Plants.Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)Three (3) years of combined quality engineering, manufacturing, and/or lab experience in a private, public, government or military environmentAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Master’s degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline from an accredited institutionFive (5) years of experience in a quality or engineering roleProject management skills and experience with ability to influence stakeholdersExperience with Statistics and other Data AnalyticsInternal and/or external auditing experienceDemonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skillsDemonstrated leadership skillsExperience working with Customers and SuppliersExperience with championing and/or deploying Quality Management Systems (e.g. Change Management, CAPA, Complaint Systems, Quality Data Systems, Documentation Systems, etc.)Work location: This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN.Travel: May include up to 15% domestic/internationalRelocation: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being3M offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially.
