Manager, Product Manager - Hotels Tax & Compliance, Capital One Travel

Overview Our Hotels organization is evolving, and we are launching a dedicated Tax and Compliance vertical to ensure our platform meets global regulatory standards. Historically, tax requirements lived across various teams; now, we are giving this domain a formal "home." As the first Product Manager for this new team, you will lead a lean, scrappy pod of engineers, focused on building a scalable, compliant foundation. Responsibilities Act as the strategic bridge between Legal, Risk, and Engineering, translating complex regulatory advice into a technical roadmap. Lead a lean engineering pod to build and maintain backend systems that accurately implement tax logic across the technology stack. Navigate diverse touchpoints across the organization to ensure compliance and precision in the back‑end tax logic. Manage stakeholder expectations and drive alignment in a high‑ambiguity, 0‑to‑1 environment. Qualifications Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field), Business or Marketing OR Bachelor’s degree in any field and 3 years of Product Management experience. Preferred Qualifications Experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer‑facing digital products.
