Tigg's Canteen Services is currently hiring a dependable, motivated, and positive Part-Time Lead Cook to join our team at the Iron County Jail.

We are looking for someone with integrity, strong character, and a positive attitude who is comfortable working in a structured environment. If you enjoy cooking, leading others, and working as part of a team, this could be the opportunity for you!

WHAT WE OFFER

Starting pay of $19.00 per hour 401K Paid Time Off

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

As a Lead Cook, you will help oversee and participate in the daily kitchen operation. Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and assisting inmates within the kitchen
• Preparing and cooking food according to company recipes
• Assisting with baking and food preparation
• Providing instruction and guidance to others when needed
• Helping maintain a clean, organized kitchen
• Assisting with kitchen clean-up
• Following company policies, procedures, and recipes

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The ideal candidate should be able to:

• Work successfully in a structured correctional environment
• Read and follow company recipes and instructions
• Lift up to 50 pounds
• Lead, instruct, and work alongside others
• Assist with food preparation, cooking, baking, and clean-up
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must have:

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• The flexibility to work weekends and holidays
• Availability to work varying days and hours between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM
• The ability to obtain clearance approval to enter the facility

Experience is a Plus - But Not Required!

Previous food service or kitchen experience is preferred, but we believe the right attitude and willingness to learn are just as important.
