Human Resources Manager

Join Wabash in Harrison, AR (onsite) as a Human Resources Manager and partner directly with site leadership to strengthen people strategy and day-to-day HR execution. This role leads the local HR team, builds alignment around business goals, and supports workforce effectiveness through compliant, proactive HR practices and Lean Enterprise principles. What you’ll do Act as a primary business partner to site leadership, translating business goals and objectives into well aligned HR initiatives Lead the local Human Resources team and provide direction and counsel to manufacturing site leaders on policies and procedures, including day-to-day issues, professional development, employee morale, discipline, and performance management Lead and/or manage courageously during organizational change, taking appropriate risks, energizing teams, and encouraging others to do the same to support company priorities Apply Lean Enterprise principles within HR by evaluating the efficiency, effectiveness, and value add of HR tools and programs Use HR expertise across recruitment, investigations, discipline, employee development, communications, performance management, succession planning, and HR policies and procedures Engage and influence leaders in strategic discussions, challenge current thinking, and help lead change in behaviors Proactively support communication and implementation of key business initiatives Participate in and partner with community organizations and events to promote corporate citizenship Develop and maintain HR KPI tracking and reporting designed to measure and predict HR outcomes Complete HR policy, procedure, and program implementation and handle other duties as assigned What you bring Minimum 6 years of general HR experience, including 3+ years as a site-wide functional HR leader Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred major: Business, Human Resources, or related field) Clear, contemporary understanding of HR functions across recruitment, compensation and benefits, leadership and management development, organizational effectiveness, and employee relations Knowledge of State and Federal regulations At least 3 years of supervisory/management experience with a large staff, including associate coaching, mentoring, and developing Demonstrated clear understanding of the recruitment life cycle processes Strong skills in strategy development, policy, plan, and/or program design and implementation to attract, retain, and motivate employees, manage risk appropriately, and maximize business profitability Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Experience using database management tools Demonstrated learning agility, including proactive identification and implementation of innovative recruitment/process solutions Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong analytical skills Demonstrated track record of successfully implementing large scale/systemic change efforts across an organization Relevant certification: SPHR/PHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP Manufacturing experience Leadership attributes Embrace Diversity and Inclusion by soliciting and respecting input, celebrating differences, and striving for transparency and inclusiveness Seek to Listen by actively listening to reach the best solution and make strong decisions Always Learn to improve continuously and avoid settling for the status quo Be Authentic by demonstrating honesty, incredible energy, and grit in the work Win Together by collaborating, seeking alignment, and excelling at cross-group communication as one team Technologies Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Affirmative Action / EEO Wabash is committed to providing equal employment opportunity for associates and applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, veteran status, disability, or other protected class or activity under federal, state, or local law.
