Help
- Performs work such as preparing, receiving, reviewing, and verifying documents. The employee maintains medical records, locating and compiling data or information from medical files.
- Incumbent performs standard and non-standard clerical assignments resolving a variety of non-recurring problems.
- The employee receives a variety of correspondence from within the facility including several community-based outpatient clinics and other VA facilities and maintains the archived record system.
- Accurately filing of medical reports/documents and correspondence according to VA regulations.
- Maintain of administrative and medical records for inpatients and outpatients.
- Reviewing and separating documents received, into administrative/legal documents for scanning.
- Auditing of documents.
- Knowledge of health information management local policies/procedures as well as VHA policies/procedures and regulations.
- Has detailed knowledge of two file classification systems.
- Ensuring that all necessary health/administrative records received from other VA facilities are processed according to established procedures.
- Record protection.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 0715-1545, 0730-1600, 0800-1630
