Looking for a change of scenery and a chance to help others. Join a traveling Physical Therapist assignment in Bowling Green, KY at a Long Term Acute Care Hospital setting. Provide outpatient neuro-focused rehabilitation, supporting patients recovering from critical illness and complex medical conditions. This role emphasizes patient and employee safety, interdisciplinary collaboration, timely documentation, and outcomes-focused, discharge-oriented care.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
• Active Kentucky state PT license required to start the assignment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
• Experience in outpatient neuro rehabilitation preferred; at minimum, completion of a clinical rotation in an outpatient neuro setting is preferred.
• Experience with evaluation, development of treatment plans and goals, and documentation including progress notes, discharge summaries, and letters of medical necessity.
• Ability to manage individual, concurrent, and group treatment sessions and to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for discharge planning and equipment needs.
• Must follow discipline-specific state practice act and maintain professional licensure and required continuing education.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in inpatient rehab or long term acute care settings.
• Experience with safe patient handling techniques and equipment.
• Participation in student education or clinical supervision.
• Active involvement in professional development activities and performance improvement initiatives.

Assignment Details

• Shift pattern: 5x8.
• Setting: Outpatient neuro-focused caseload within an inpatient rehab/Outpatient HUB environment.
• May require flexibility in caseload coverage and acceptance of additional coverage as needed.
• Must complete timely and accurate electronic medical record documentation and charge entry per hospital policy.

Provide comprehensive evaluations and individualized treatment plans focused on progressing patients toward discharge. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address barriers to discharge, handle equipment trials and ordering, and provide patient and family education including home exercise programs.
