Dermatology Physician

Dermatologist (MD/DO) Position Summary The Dermatologist provides comprehensive medical, surgical, and preventive care for patients with disorders of the skin, hair, nails, and mucous membranes. This role focuses on evaluation, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic dermatologic conditions using evidence-based, patient-centered approaches in outpatient and/or inpatient settings as applicable. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a wide range of dermatologic conditions including inflammatory, infectious, autoimmune, and neoplastic skin disordersProvide medical dermatology care for conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, rosacea, and skin infectionsDiagnose and manage skin cancers and premalignant lesionsPerform dermatologic procedures consistent with training and privileges, such as biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy, and electrosurgeryProvide patient education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medication use, and skin cancer preventionDevelop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plansCollaborate with primary care providers and specialists such as oncology, rheumatology, allergy/immunology, and plastic surgeryMaintain accurate and timely clinical documentationParticipate in quality improvement, patient safety, and outcomes initiativesSupervise and educate residents, fellows, advanced practice providers, or clinical staff as applicableComply with all regulatory, accreditation, and professional standards Qualifications Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical schoolCompletion of an accredited Dermatology residency programBoard-eligible or board-certified in DermatologyAbility to obtain and maintain unrestricted state medical licensureDEA registration or eligibility Skills and Competencies Broad expertise in medical and procedural dermatologyStrong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skillsExcellent communication and patient counseling abilitiesAbility to manage chronic dermatologic conditions longitudinallyCommitment to evidence-based practice and patient-centered care Work Environment Outpatient dermatology clinics with possible inpatient consultation responsibilitiesSchedule typically includes clinic hours with limited call depending on practice model Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, and move throughout clinical environmentsManual dexterity for dermatologic proceduresVisual acuity sufficient for detailed skin examination and procedural work
