Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Telemetry/Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS Certification Must-Have: - Good attitude - Positive mindset - Team player - Valuing others - Caring for patients and team members Description: RN's will be required to pass a written exam during orientation. The exam is an open book test covering essential skills learned during training. Candidates must achieve a score of 90% or higher to pass. Failure to pass will result in termination of employment. Candidates must adhere to the radius rule of 50 miles. Candidates may not be employed full time, part time, or PRN with any competing facility. A driver's license is required for submission. Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care. Refusal to remove artificial nails will lead to termination of contract. The unit accommodates a mixed patient population primarily consisting of adults. Patients may include those requiring care for post-surgical recovery, diabetes, heart failure, hypertension, weakness, and cancer. The RN to patient ratio is 5:1. Candidates are expected to float to various units as needed. The environment serves a diverse population and respects cultural differences.
