Job Title: Middle School Substitute TeacherJob Status: Part-Time, As-NeededReports to: Middle School DirectorNew Roads School is seeking a part-time Middle school substitute teacher to cover courses for specified periods when the regular teacher is unavailable. The substitute teacher is a part-time temporary employee that is called on an as-need basis.ESSENTIAL DUTIESSubstitute Teachers will ensure the continuation of the instructional program in the absence of the regular teacher, following the regular teacher's lesson plansMaintain a professional attitude in the classroomExperience working in various schoolsAbility to communicate with a diverse audienceBachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university requiredPassion for education and prior teaching experience with 6th-8th gradesDesire and ability to work effectively with colleaguesEnthusiasm, patience, and a positive attitudeAbility to provide supervision and follow instructionsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong classroom management skillsOTHER REQUIREMENTSLive Scan background check and Tuberculosis clearance are required before working.APPLY: Please complete job application and upload resume at: hourly rate for this part-time role is $25 per hour. #J-18808-Ljbffr New Roads School Employment Opportunities
