Job Overview Optiv+ClearShark is seeking a full‑time Senior Sales Engineer (SE) to support our Army customer base. The role requires strong expertise in one or more of: Splunk, Network Security, SOC, Threat Intelligence, Data, AI, and Identity. The Senior SE designs pragmatic security solutions that align with the Army’s security initiatives, leveraging advanced Federal and security practitioner knowledge. Responsibilities Drive revenue and meet quarterly/annual quota objectives in partnership with account and domain teams. Maintain advanced knowledge of clients’ security environments and business operations. Identify security concerns and map them to Optiv+ClearShark’s solutions across assigned domains. Identify cross‑sell and upsell opportunities, and partner with internal colleagues to scope proposals. Qualify leads and partner with internal teams for proposal management through to closure. Participate in sales opportunities across the entire portfolio and articulate technology benefits at senior leadership level. Stay abreast of industry trends to provide thought leadership, analysis, and guidance to clients and internal groups. Collaborate with service delivery to ensure consistent domain‑specialty materials. Develop security strategy and roadmaps with clients, aligning business goals, budgets, and ROI metrics. Maintain advisory relationships with key stakeholders, facilitating support and guidance. Identify and drive complete security programs and new discussions leveraging peer networks. Promote portfolio and security awareness at events, partner engagements, and across social media. Provide continuous improvement feedback and participate in account planning, forecasting, and pipeline management. Actively pursue personal development through formal education, certification, and other avenues. Qualifications BS/BA or equivalent and applicable work experience. Minimum of five (5) years in an information security role, preferably as a consulting advisor, architect, or engineer. Experience in Federal required: CISSP, GIAC, CISA, CISM, CCSP or other relevant professional cybersecurity certifications preferred. Strong expertise in one or more of: Splunk Platform, Network Security, SOC, Threat Intelligence, Data, AI, and Identity. Highly motivated self‑starter with ability to work in a highly adaptable and nimble team. Thorough understanding of threat landscape, vulnerabilities, and defensive controls. Strong business and technical acumen; ability to lead technology‑focused discussions. Excellent presentation, written, and oral communication skills, including whiteboard sessions and other presentations. Strong attention to detail when reviewing SOWs, quotes, and client deliverables. Active Top Secret clearance required. Compensation Total Target Compensation: $200,000 – $250,000+ annually (base salary plus uncapped bonus plan).
