Registered Nurse - PACU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking a qualified Registered Nurse specialized in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) to provide exceptional patient care during postoperative recovery. This travel position offers the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic healthcare team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient vitals and overall condition post-surgery.
• Monitor and manage pain levels and anesthesia effects.
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure patient safety.
• Document patient care activities accurately in medical records.
• Facilitate patient education on recovery procedures and discharge instructions.
• Respond promptly to patient needs and emergent situations.

Qualifications:

• Valid and active RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in PACU or perioperative nursing.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Demonstrated ability to handle high-pressure clinical scenarios.
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible daytime hours, including weekends if necessary.
