As a Security Officer - Community Leaning Center , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a public library location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to patrons, staff, and visitors. You will communicate clearly, respond to security-related concerns, and support a welcoming environment. Pay Rate: $19.30 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to library patrons, staff, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout library buildings, public areas, entrances, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, providing directions and assisting with orderly entry and exit during normal operations and special events.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel as required.
• Assist with maintaining a welcoming library environment by helping to address prohibited activities, policy concerns, and patron service needs in accordance with established procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
