This position provides direct patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse while supporting therapeutic goals and daily routines. You help patients with everyday tasks, communicate clearly with staff, and maintain a safe treatment environment. As a Psychiatric Aide, you will perform the following duties: Patient Care: Assist patients with daily living tasks including hygiene, meals, and room care Therapeutic Support: Use communication techniques and crisis management skills to guide patient interactions Safety Awareness: Follow hospital procedures and infection control practices to maintain a secure environment Behavior Observation: Monitor and report patient behavior, condition, and changes to nursing staff Treatment Assistance: Support individualized treatment plans and help patients participate in scheduled activities Record Keeping: Document patient care information clearly and accurately in medical records Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 40 hours per week Work hours are 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with a 30-minute lunch and every third weekend off. QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Successful completion of the Aide Trainee program (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration) or Six months of experience in the care, activities, and personal guidance of individuals with mental health or physical illness or disabilities or Certification as a Nurse Aide or Nursing Assistant through the Pennsylvania Department of Health. You must be able to perform essential job functions. Legal Requirements: A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening. This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
