We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to join our growing Revenue Cycle Management team in Johns Creek, GA.Job SummaryAs a Medical Billing Specialist, you will serve as a primary point of contact for patient billing inquiries, provider coordination, and insurance verification. This dynamic role combines active phone/email customer support with technical billing duties, including claims review, EOB analysis, patient payment processing, and pre-authorizations.Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer & Provider Support: Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound communication (phone and email) with patients, medical providers, and insurance carriers regarding billing inquiries and payments.Claims & Coding Review: Review patient claims and medical documentation to accurately identify billable ICD-10 codes.Insurance Verification: Verify patient eligibility, resolve Coordination of Benefits (COB) issues, and secure pre-authorizations and medical record requests as needed.Financial Estimates & Collections: Calculate patient financial responsibility, deliver clear cost estimates over the phone, and process patient payments efficiently.Administrative Operations: Prepare routine reports, update electronic files, and perform additional administrative duties supporting the Revenue Cycle team.Qualifications & RequirementsRequired:1+ years of hands-on experience in medical billing and coding.1–2 years of experience working with ICD-10 codes and a strong understanding of medical terminology.Background in a high-volume call center or high-call-volume medical office environment.Proven customer service skills with a patient-first approach.High proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Key Competencies:Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to reviewing claims, EOBs, and patient data.Problem Solving: Ability to research complex billing issues and present clear solutions.Adaptability: Flexibility to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.Self-Starter: Strong work ethic with the ability to manage workflow with minimal supervision.Physical Requirements & Work EnvironmentRegular sitting, standing, and desk-based work utilizing computers and keyboards.Frequent telephone communication and screen review.Occasional light lifting (up to 25–50 lbs).BenefitsHealth InsurancePaid Time Off (PTO) & Paid Holidays401(k) Retirement PlanLife InsuranceEqual Opportunity Employer.
