LHH is partnering with a well-established organization in Houston, Texas, to identify a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Payable Specialist. This fully onsite opportunity is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys working with numbers, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring vendor payments are processed efficiently.

What You'll Do

• Review, verify, and process vendor invoices in a timely manner
• Match invoices with purchase orders and supporting documentation
• Prepare and process payments through checks, ACH transactions, and electronic transfers
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and vendor payment inquiries
• Reconcile vendor statements and maintain accurate account records
• Ensure expenses are properly coded and entered into the accounting system
• Assist with month-end closing activities and account reconciliations
• Maintain vendor files and support compliance with internal accounting procedures
• Coordinate with internal departments to obtain invoice approvals and supporting documentation
• Support audit requests and provide payment-related documentation as needed

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of accounts payable, accounting, or finance experience
• Experience handling high-volume invoice processing preferred
• Strong understanding of accounts payable procedures and financial recordkeeping
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting or ERP systems
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to communicate professionally with vendors and internal stakeholders
• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

Compensation & Schedule

• Pay: $24.00–$30.00 per hour
• Location: Houston, TX
• Schedule: Monday–Friday
• Work Arrangement: Fully Onsite
