Senior Director, Marketing New Product Planning

Senior Director, New Product Planning
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute commercial assessment activities for pipeline assets, business development opportunities, and the anemia market (market sizing, competitive evaluations, opportunity assessments, commercial risk analyses)
- Maintain disease area and competitive intelligence to identify market trends, unmet needs, and emerging threats/opportunities
- Identify knowledge gaps and create plans to address them via KOL engagement and market research
- Serve as commercial representative on cross‑functional program teams; provide strategic input on target product profiles, clinical development, regulatory, and commercialization strategies
- Partner with Clinical Development and Medical Affairs on positioning, value proposition, evidence generation priorities, patient identification, and patient advocacy
- Communicate requirements for market access, reimbursement, and differentiation for successful commercialization
- Inform forecast assumptions for financial models
- Partner with Business Development and Corporate Strategy on external innovation evaluation and diligence activities (as applicable)
- Manage external vendors/consultants to deliver high‑quality work within scope, budget, and timelines
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred (MBA, PharmD, PhD, MPH, or equivalent)
- 10+ years in pharmaceutical/biotech; 8+ years in new product planning, commercial strategy, and brand management
- Strong understanding of product development, commercialization, market access, and competitive strategy
- Ability to influence without authority and operate in cross‑functional teams
Preferred
- Experience in nephrology, rare disease, or specialty therapeutics
- Ability to synthesize complex clinical and market information into actionable recommendations
- Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills
- Collaborative, proactive, adaptable; strong project management
- Ability to travel up to 15%
Benefits/Compensation
- Targeted base salary: $256,730–$317,138 USD
