Department Highlights 10-bed Dismissal Lounge for 833-bed MAGNET facility MAGNET, Level I Trauma Center Primary Heart Attack Center PHAC Self-Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team Here’s What You Need Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire CLIAFE – Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency BCLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly ACLS – within 90 days of hire required CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training – within 90 days of hire NIHSS - required for ICU/PCU Neighborhood 6 Months Req 1-year experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required One (1) year of RN experience in acute care hospital strongly preferred What You Will Do Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process assesses the patient plans the care of the patient intervenes as appropriate evaluates the effectiveness of intervention Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
