Patient Access Rep - PRN

As a Patient Access Representative, you’ll: 

• Be responsible for satisfying the patient, staff or caller and maintaining the image and integrity of HCMC. 

• Provide patients with information on physicians, directions to locations, required pre-testing, educational materials, and any other items prior to service.  

• Gather necessary data, enter appropriate data into computer-Epic, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed and appropriately signed by patient in order to register and admit patient for inpatient or outpatient services. 

What you’ll bring: 

• 1+ years of experience in medical office, hospital, medical call center or similar customer service environment 

  • EPIC experience highly preferred

  • Knowledge of health insurance concepts preferred

• High school diploma or GED 

• Passion for helping others 

• Ability to think quickly and problem solve 

• Ability to talk and type simultaneously, with excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

• Must type at least 35 wpm.

Salary Range: Minimum $23.00/hour - Maximum $23.00/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
