Our company, a leader in the manufacturing industry, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join our team on a permanent basis. This role is crucial to our operations, ensuring that all equipment and machinery are performing at their highest efficiency. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in electrical systems. Responsibilities: As a Permanent Maintenance Mechanic, your primary duties will include: 1. Performing regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities to ensure optimal performance and reduce downtime. 2. Diagnosing and troubleshooting problems with machinery and equipment, applying your knowledge of automation and injection molding. 3. Reading and interpreting equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. 4. Complying with safety regulations and maintaining clean and orderly work areas. 5. Assisting in the development and implementation of mechanical maintenance policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency. 6. Inspecting, operating, and testing machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions. 7. Documenting work performed and maintaining equipment history records using a computerized maintenance management system. 8. Participating in ongoing technical training and development opportunities to remain current on industry standards and new technologies. Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications: 1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic, preferably in the manufacturing industry. 2. Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with automation, injection molding, and electrical systems. 3. Proven ability to troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment. 4. Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations in the manufacturing industry. 5. Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders. 6. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 7. Proficiency in using a computerized maintenance management system for record-keeping. 8. Willingness to participate in ongoing technical training and development opportunities. 9. High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary training in mechanical or electrical systems is a plus.
