Clinical Laboratory Technologist - Toxicology
Labcorp
Labcorp seeks a Clinical Laboratory Technologist Trainee for its toxicology department in Burlington, North Carolina. The role involves performing laboratory procedures, operating instrumentation, and ensuring specimen quality on a Thursday-Sunday overnight shift. Full training is provided for qualified candidates.
Responsibilities
- Assess specimen acceptability according to established testing criteria
- Perform routine and complex toxicology procedures following departmental protocols
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation
- Prepare and evaluate reagents and controls; document quality control procedures
- Report accurate test results and maintain safe work environment
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
- Three months or more clinical laboratory testing experience (preferred)
- ASCP or AMT certification (preferred)
- Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
- Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills
