Facilities Technician

Joby Facilities TechnicianThe Facilities Technician is responsible for supporting the day-to-day maintenance and operation of company facilities to ensure a safe, clean, and functional work environment. This role performs a variety of maintenance tasks, including basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general building repairs. The Facilities Technician works independently on routine assignments and collaborates with team members and contractors on larger projects.Responsibilities include:Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on building systems, equipment, and infrastructureComplete work orders related to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general maintenanceAssist with preventive maintenance activities to help ensure facility reliabilityConduct basic troubleshooting and report issues requiring specialized repairsMaintain building interiors and exterior grounds in a clean, safe, and professional conditionAssist with office moves, furniture assembly, workstation setups, and facility reconfigurationsOperate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safelyMaintain inventory of maintenance supplies and notify management when replenishment is requiredOperate forklifts, pallet jacks, scissor lifts, and other equipment after appropriate trainingFollow company safety procedures and maintain a safe working environmentTravel to secondary company locations as needed to support maintenance activitiesRequired qualifications include:High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent trade experience3+ years of experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, construction, or a related fieldBasic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general repair techniquesAbility to safely use hand tools, power tools, and common maintenance equipmentStrong work ethic and willingness to learn new skillsGood communication and customer service skillsAbility to prioritize tasks and work effectively with minimal supervisionValid California Driver's License with a clean driving recordBasic computer skills, including email and work order systemsDesired qualifications include:Experience operating forklifts, scissor lifts, or other material-handling equipmentExperience in commercial office, manufacturing, aviation, or industrial environmentsFamiliarity with preventive maintenance programs or CMMS systemsOSHA 10 certification or other safety-related trainingCompensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $31-$37/hr.
