Senior UX Designer, Enterprise Engineering

Salary: $137,800 - 186,400 per year Requirements:

• We require 7+ years of experience as a UX designer or interaction designer
• We require an online portfolio or work samples on the resume that show end-to-end, user-centered design solutions across desktop and mobile
• We require 1+ year of experience working with or evaluating AI systems
• We require experience presenting to and advising senior leaders outside of design
• We require deep expertise building design systems, including tokens, components, patterns, and documentation
• We require proficiency in code-based prototyping using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, or with AI-assisted development tools
• We require technical understanding of LLMs and how they influence product design decisions
• We require a degree in Design, HCI, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
• We prefer daily use of AI tools such as coding assistants, generative design tools, and LLMs in the design workflow
• We prefer experience using AI to speed up design system creation, including pattern extraction, component generation, and documentation
• We prefer experience with enterprise or internal tools at scale
• We prefer familiarity with spec-driven development, prompt engineering, model evaluation, or human-AI interaction design
• We prefer experience designing novel interaction patterns, including multi-agent orchestration, trust and transparency patterns, AI reasoning interfaces, or agentic workflows

• We will own product design end to end, from first prototype through launch, for AI-native tools used across Amazon
• We will invent interaction patterns that do not yet have a playbook, including how people direct agents, trust them, correct them, and work alongside them
• We will prototype in code, using AI-assisted development tools and whatever helps us get real ideas in front of real users quickly
• We will build a new design system with AI by extracting tokens, components, and patterns from product work as it ships
• We will help shape product direction with PMs, engineers, AI specialists, and customers
• We will present design work and influence product direction with stakeholders and leadership across the organization
• We will ship, observe how people use the tools, refine them, and repeat
