Registered Nurse - Float Pool

Role Overview: A registered nurse specializing in emergency and clinical settings, practicing independently to deliver routine and complex patient care in accordance with treatment plans. Key Responsibilities Utilize nursing process for assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patients. Administer medications, monitor effects, and document patient history and care provided. Assess learning needs and educate patients, families, and caregivers. Coordinate patient throughput, admissions, discharges, and transfers to ensure smooth patient flow. Manage unit operations, including staffing, equipment, and supplies, while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. Follow clinical policies, standards, and documentation procedures, ensuring accuracy and quality care. Ensure patient safety by adhering to guidelines, reporting incidents, and addressing physiological or psychological concerns. Qualifications & Skills Minimum 2 years of experience in emergency and another specialty (e.g., Med/Surg, Critical Care). Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (within 30 days), and TNCC (if applicable). Current RN license in the state or compact licensure.
