Registered Nurse - Cardiac Stepdown Unit
This is a 13-week contract position.
Night shift - 4x12 hours (18:30 - 07:00)
We are looking for experienced Registered Nurses to join our Cardiac Stepdown Unit. This unit serves a significant cardiac patient population, delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiovascular nursing and be able to work collaboratively with a dedicated team to provide optimal patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to cardiac patients in a stepdown setting.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes in their condition.
- Administer medications and treatment as prescribed.
- Perform clinical procedures related to cardiac care.
- Educate patients and families on health management and recovery.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- 2 years of cardiovascular nursing experience preferred.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
- NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred.
- Experience with Epic charting system is preferred.
- Ability to manage patients on cardiac telemetry and administer intravenous medications.
