About the Role

• This role is for a DevOps / L3 Production Support Engineer supporting critical systems on a fast-paced Fixed Income Trading floor.
• The engineer will work directly with front-office traders, development teams, infrastructure groups, and trading desks to maintain the performance, resilience, and operational stability of electronic trading applications.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary escalation point for real-time L3 production issues on the front-office trading floor.
• Resolve high-priority execution bugs and market-data streaming anomalies to maximize trading uptime.
• Deploy, verify, and monitor production software releases using automated infrastructure pipelines.
• Maintain environment configuration integrity across multi-tier staging and live electronic trading environments.
• Diagnose and resolve networking, messaging, connectivity, and protocol-level issues affecting trading gateways.
• Troubleshoot low-latency transaction routing, system interconnects, and messaging layers.
• Design, build, and optimize monitoring, alerting, and operational dashboards.
• Create enterprise-grade infrastructure scripts to automate health checks and streamline failover recovery routines.
• Reduce manual operational overhead through automation and tooling improvements.
• Collaborate with algorithmic developers, core infrastructure teams, and trading desks on production incidents.
• Lead persistent root-cause analysis and convert incident findings into permanent platform engineering improvements.
• Support real-time application workflows and maintain operational stability for critical fixed income trading systems.

Required Qualifications

• 4–7 years of dedicated production support or DevOps experience in a Fixed Income or Capital Markets electronic trading environment.
• Deep functional understanding of Fixed Income asset classes.
• Experience with order management and execution management system workflows, including OMS/EMS platforms.
• Strong practical expertise in log analysis.
• Experience with system performance monitoring tools.
• Experience with automated deployment architectures and infrastructure pipelines.
• Knowledge of networking, messaging, system interconnects, and protocol-level troubleshooting.
• Understanding of low-latency transaction routing and electronic trading gateway operations.
• Experience building or maintaining monitoring, alerting, operational dashboards, health checks, and failover recovery automation.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to coordinate with front-office business stakeholders during high-pressure incidents.
• Ability to work a hybrid schedule with 2 to 3 days onsite in New York, NY.
• Must work on a strictly W2 basis.
