We are searching for an experienced candidate for the position of Event Management Specialist at Joint Base Andrews, MD.

Supports Air National Guard event packets and business processes, including SharePoint content management, training materials, reporting tools, event closeout, correspondence, taskers, tracking products, and briefing support.

Responsibilities:

• Review, process, and monitor ANG conference submission packets in ETMS2 and maintain communication with action officers through completion.
• Collect conference activity data and support annual and ongoing reporting through the DoD Conference Tool.
• Provide conference website coordination and serve as a GKN SharePoint content editor for sites, sub-sites, pages, lists, calendars, document libraries, links, permissions, and uploaded content.
• Build and maintain conference calendars and tracking spreadsheets, identify scheduling conflicts, and support event closeout activities.
• Review and edit correspondence, taskers, memoranda, briefings, and conference materials for content, grammar, formatting, and policy compliance.
• Evaluate, update, catalog, assemble, and disseminate conference-management training materials, training support packages, and Programs of Instruction.
• Participate in program meetings, collect scheduling data, and coordinate with government action officers and conference support offices.
• Execute assigned Tier 2 events and support facilities, audiovisual, and other logistical requirements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field, or in lieu of education must have 8 years of relevant work experience
• 3-5 years of relevant event management, conference support, program support, or administrative experience
• Experience administering SharePoint content, permissions, lists, calendars, and document libraries
• Strong written communication, editing, research, data analysis, and organizational skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to maintain accurate tracking spreadsheets, correspondence, and briefing materials
• Complete required ETMS2 training before system access and maintain required security-awareness training
• Must be available to support in-person requirements at ANG Readiness Center, Joint Base Andrews, MD, as needed
• Must possess an active Secret Clearance Required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting DoD or National Guard conferences and applying CNGBI 8100.01A conference policy
• Hands-on experience with ETMS2 and the Department Conference Reporting Tool
• Experience developing or maintaining training materials and business-process documentation
