50 Stars Staffing is seeking a compassionate and dependable Paraprofessionals for a school-based position in San Diego, CA . The selected candidate will provide one-on-one support to an elementary student, assisting with academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs in a positive and structured learning environment.

Student Profile

• Elementary Student (Entering 2nd Grade )
• Approximately 23 hours per week
• Diagnoses include ADHD and Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder (DMDD)
• Occasional aggressive behaviors
• Experience with behavior support is highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one classroom support throughout the school day.
• Assist the student with academic tasks and classroom participation.
• Implement behavior intervention strategies and follow established behavior plans.
• Help de-escalate challenging behaviors using positive behavior supports.
• Encourage social-emotional regulation and independence.
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, behavior specialists, and parents.
• Maintain accurate documentation as required by the school.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with children with ADHD, behavioral challenges, or developmental disabilities preferred.
• Experience as a Paraprofessional, Behavioral Aide, RBT, or Special Education Assistant is highly desirable.
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) or similar de-escalation training is a plus.
• Strong communication, patience, and teamwork skills.
