Fall 2026 BHT Internship (Behavioral Health Technician of ABA)

Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) InternAs a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) Intern with Hummingbird ABA Therapy, you will provide 1:1 behavioral interventions to children and adolescents between the ages of 2-21 years old who are diagnosed with a qualifying diagnosis. The internship position is designed for a student enrolled in undergraduate or graduate coursework who requires a full time internship for their program.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvides face-to-face behavioral interventions. Implements Individualized Treatment Plans (ITP) while working 1:1 with clientsDelivers and models treatment interventions.Communicates with peers and co-workers and exchanges information, which is important in achieving the individual goals for the clients.Setting and adhering to professional boundaries with all clients and families.Provides culturally aware and competent service provision.Completes initial training curriculum as per company requirements and guidelines, and state regulatory standards.Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with little notice, dependent on client needs.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. BHT Intern is required to have their own reliable transportation to/from clients within Centre County.This position may be eligible for loan forgiveness and participation in the Behavioral Health and Higher Education Plan, subject to program requirements and employee eligibility.
