Description

• Assess patients across all ages using both standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Create individualized treatment plans that cater to specific communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Implement one-on-one speech therapy sessions targeting communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families, to ensure a unified approach to care.
• Educate patients and families to support progress beyond the clinical setting.
• Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments, maintaining continuity in patient care throughout their recovery journey.
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation following state and federal regulations.
• Commit to continuous learning and professional development by staying informed on the latest advancements in the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you are not ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• A Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within the first month of employment.
