We are looking for a BIM/VDC Support Specialist to join our team in Bellevue, Washington. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who is interested in BIM, drafting, design, engineering, or construction and wants to develop their technical skills while supporting real-world mechanical construction projects. What You’ll Do As a BIM/VDC Support Specialist, you will work alongside our VDC, engineering, and project teams to help create and maintain the drawings, models, and documentation used to fabricate and install our mechanical systems. This is a hands‑on developmental role where you will gain experience with Revit, BIM/VDC processes, construction drawings, fabrication packages, and project coordination while learning how virtual design translates into field installation. Responsibilities In this role, you will: Produce 2D drawings from 3D models using Revit. Set up and maintain Revit sheets, views, and schedules. Modify and update 3D model content. Support project teams in preparing drawings for fabrication, layout, and installation. Generate bills of materials and fabrication spool packages from project models. Perform basic quality checks on drawings and fabrication packages prior to release. Maintain organized project files, documentation, and revision tracking. Assist with detailing and preconstruction design activities. Assist with the development and maintenance of Revit families and model content. Communicate and coordinate with internal project team members. Support multiple projects and priorities as needed. Provide general BIM/VDC production and project support as assigned. Required Qualifications We’re looking for someone who brings: Strong computer and technical aptitude. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work. A collaborative, team-oriented approach. Willingness to receive feedback and continuously develop new skills. Interest in learning BIM/VDC tools, construction workflows, and industry standards. Preferred Qualifications We’d love to see experience with: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting, Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent coursework or experience. Introductory or working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, or other BIM software. Reading and understanding construction drawings. Basic file management and document‑control practices. BIM, detailing, drafting, construction coordination, or related coursework or experience. Previous professional BIM/VDC experience is helpful but is not required.
