Position Overview

Description of Responsibilities

• Conduct a variety of ultrasound examinations including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Prioritize patient comfort and safety throughout procedures, clearly and kindly explaining each step
• Work closely with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure the delivery of high-quality diagnostic images
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment, promptly reporting any malfunctions
• Accurate documentation of procedures and management of patient records in the electronic medical systems
• Stay updated on advances in ultrasound imaging techniques and best practices

Education Requirements

• Completion of an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related discipline
• CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program completion is preferred

Certifications Required

• Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred

Skills Needed

• Proficient technical skills in sonographic imaging techniques and patient positioning
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Capacity to function independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
