Quality Manager

Job Overview Posting Title: Manager, Onsite Quality Reports To: Plant Manager Location: Salt Lake City, UT Salary Range: $95,250 to $125,000 Responsible for execution and enforcement of CEI's Project Specific Quality Plan (PSQP) and coordination between Production, Project Management, Subcontractors, Inspectors, and Client. Responsibilities Train onsite teams on CEI Project Specific Quality Plan (PSQP). Ensure policies, processes, and procedures are in place and followed. Train employees on BIM360 or ACC and Smartsheet. Audit throughout the lifecycle to confirm adherence to CEI's program. Attend Quality meetings and lead pre-installation DFOW meetings. Maintain quality inspection schedule, update activities, and develop a three‑week look ahead. Coordinate internal inspections in sync with construction flow; conduct third‑party inspections and tests as required. Coordinate inspection requests with GC/Client and verify readiness. Lead DFOW pre-task meetings and first‑in‑place walks/approvals with CEI/GC/Owner. Ensure quality documents are filed and performed in QMT (ACC), review third‑party reports for accuracy, and keep submittals, specifications, drawings, and RFIs current. Verify as‑builts are updated per CEI and project requirements; maintain logs and document trackers (Smartsheet/Excel). Work with PM staff to update/upload project documents for filing and turnover. Track internal issues using CEI's QMT; train the site team on the issue management module and audit usage. Identify, assign, and resolve installation and project issues; run daily/weekly reports on outstanding issues and re‑inspect corrections. Track issues in GC/Owner platform if required, assign to appropriate CEI team members, ensure timely resolution, and follow through to closure. Ensure the quality team performs all Site Acceptance Inspections (SAI) and adheres to photo documentation expectations. Implement regular project walks and in‑progress inspections to identify issues early; fill out daily reports. Follow up with GC/Owner quality personnel for inspections and issue management. Verify equipment and material protection; ensure subcontractors follow CEI Quality Plan. Ensure material check‑in process (Material SAI) follows site requirements, report deficiencies, and follow up on corrective actions. Submit time for self and direct reports (OQI’s). Qualifications 5 years in the electrical industry. Experience with industry quality and commissioning best practices. Knowledge of the most current National Electrical Code (NEC). Experience reviewing drawings, specifications, and submittals. Knowledge of building construction, materials, systems, and trade practices. Knowledge of construction flow and sequencing. Strong oral and written communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Blue Beam, Teams, ACC, Smartsheet. Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree or industry experience. Licensure/Certifications: OSHA 30, NFPA 70E, LOTO Policy. Experience: 5 years in the electrical industry.
