Guest Service Supervisor

As the Guest Services Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and working with our Front Desk Associates to provide an exceptional guest experience at all times. Our Front Desk Associates are the first impression our guests have with our business, and it is essential that they create a positive first impression with a professional, energetic, and enthusiastic demeanor in order to provide an exceptional guest experience.

Must be available evenings, weekends and holidays.

The primary responsibility of our Guest Service Supervisor is to effectively lead the Front Office by utilizing established performance standards to deliver outstanding customer service to our guests.

The essential functions of a Guest Service Supervisor position include: 

• Supervise and motivate all Front Desk personnel with daily supervision to include training, and visually monitoring performance to ensure adherence to all service and productivity standards to provide full guest satisfaction.
• Check and control room reservations, front office systems, supplies inventory and compliance with brand standards.
• Communicate with guests and employees both verbally and in writing to answer questions and provide clear direction.
• Act as hotel Manager on Duty in absence of General Manager or other upper Management.
• Ability to work while standing for extended periods of time.

Requirements:

Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• Great attention to detail
• Thorough organizational skills, proficient in accomplishing all tasks 
• Considerable knowledge of computer systems for registration, reservations and backup systems
• Above average mathematical comprehension to understand and interpret numbers as they apply to operations in hotels
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with employees and guests
• Ability to effectively interact with internal and external customers, some of whom will require a high level of patience, tact and diplomacy, to defuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts

Education/Experience

• Comparable hotel size and scope of experience preferred
• Experience with Opera Cloud or Opera is preferable but not mandatory
